3D caricature

The show 'Spitting Image TV' was a British satirical puppet show, created by Peter Fluch, Roger Law and Martin Lambie-Naim. The series featured puppet caricatures of celebrities, including British Priministers Margret Thatcher and John Major. One of the most prominent characters was British Politician Margret Thatcher, portrayed as an abusive tyrant and a cross-dresser showing masculine characteristics.

Producer John Lloyd on the show 'I do wish people wouldn't say Spitting Image was satirical, its not satirical.' 'It was for the people who got up at 6 am and work hard all week and wanted a bit of a laugh at people who were richer and had it easier'

From watching multiple clips of Spitting Image, I got a good idea about how I wanted to create a 3D caricature of someone who is more current in politics. I show Hillary clinton and searched for other caricatures as well as photographs of her. Using the principle from

I sketched out my own caricature, with inspiration and came up with the basis for making my own 3D model.

Using this sketch I made I the initial head shape and built on it from there adding eye sockets, cheeks, a chin and a point nose.

After this I pushed the model further by putting eyes in the sockets, adding eyelids, and teeth along with a neck.

Once this was done I then put it in the oven 110 degrees for half an hour and then used acrylic paints to add the tones on the face, eye colour, teeth colour, lips and hair.
